The Royal Oak at Dilhorne is looking for another chef to join their current team of 3 in the kitchen.
The right candidate will need to be a team player as it will encompass all aspects of an independent kitchen.
The job role we are looking to fill will be predominantly main course food service but on busy shifts you will be required to not only aid the existing main course chefs but also help out the starters and/or desserts chef if they are struggling in a busy rush.
The right candidate should have experience in batch cooking traditional items such as stews, chilli’s, lasagne’s but also be proficient in fresh cooked to order meals including items such as seabass, king prawns and all manner of steaks and grill items in a very busy kitchen environment all while maintaining the highest levels of hygiene and safety.
Experience is essential to this role and previous employment with independent rather than larger chain venues would be more beneficial to the candidate.
A genuine interest in trying to create ‘on trend’ good quality menu items that can reflect the royal oaks values on the main course menu and possibly offering new options for our cheaper deal menus would be big plus point to the management.

Tips are divided equally amongst all restaurant/kitchen members of staff who worked that shift (tips are rather good here).
Salary is negotiable and will reflect experience.
